Mainly after touch and some strange release info, so I just get rid of all the CC info and it seems to be fine.ġ. I have been importing midi files from Ableton and Sonar, and for some strange reason they have all sorts of extra info in them. You have to be sure that the midi track(s) is selected. So, why are you using ASIO4all? The UR22 should have an asio driver? As for your midi issue, I would just use the Midi Menu Function "Delete All Continuous Controllers". Of course that does not justify Steinberg's response to you, but the grass is not always greener, if you catch my drift.I personally use and prefer Cubase to all other DAWS with the exception of Pro Tools, because I have never tried PT. Someone gave me a hint that I should check pedal information and such but I don't know where that would be located.Well, I will do my best to not sound too much like a Cubase fanboy.but, while I agree that your current issue is frustrating, it seems that the GS boards are full of unhappy support users by every major DAW maker. Imported midi files have endless release on the notes, I can't figure out why, but it leads to reaching the maximum amount of voices until stuttering. I come from FL-Studio, Image Line has a huge support forum with 10x amount of new threads everday and lifetime free updates, but still their customer support is working 24/7 from mo-fr and they will answer any question and keep helping you out until everything is tried.Ģ. Company philosophy is very important for me. ![]() I may when I decide if I want to stick to Steinberg, but I am really already looking for alternatives if this is how they treat their customers. As much as I'd love to switch to Cubase, this is scaring me a lot.ġ. I come from FL-Studio, Image Line has a huge support forum with 10x amount of new threads everday and lifetime free updates, but still their customer support is working 24/7 from mo-fr and they will answer any question and keep helping you out until everything is tried.įrom that background coming to a company that even needs to approve your threads without having technical customer support straight from the company is really really off putting. Getting no support, not even the chance for a little voice to ask, while Cubase fails at most basic things any other DAW manages with ease.īut why not post the question in here I may when I decide if I want to stick to Steinberg, but I am really already looking for alternatives if this is how they treat their customers. Sorry for my rant, I am just really frustrated for waiting so long to get treated like that. If so, I will really reconsider changing to Steinberg/Cubase, because this for now is one of the worst support experiences I've ever made. Is Steinbergs "customer support" always a huge pile of S* like that?ĭo I always have to wait several days until a thread may or not may show up for every single tiny question I want to post? Guess what: If I want to send a massage to the moderator it says I wasn't active enough on the forums so this function is not avaiable yet.Īre you nuts? How ******** can a company be? Totally shutting me out as customer. Their FAQ say in case one can't write forum posts we would have to ask the moderators via message why. So it's not that the mods aren't there, they just didn't approve it. It said the post would need to be approved by a mod, now 2 days are gone, other thread were approved but mine didn't. It was just a normal question no rant nothing. I went to their support forums, as stated on their website "Open to all Steinberg customers" and started a new thread where I was asking for help because I couldn't figure out a problem with midi-import. I've planned to switch to Cubase and currently were playing around with my free Cubase 9 AI version that came with my Steinberg UR-22 audio interface. ![]()
